Summer Bike Tune Up

By Wallingford Pub... - Posted on 06 July 2017

Saturday, July 8th, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on the sidewalk adjacent to the rear entrance
In preparation for being outdoors this summer, dust off your bicycles (kids and adults)! Hopefully you’ll be on your way with just a little air in your tires, but Wallingford resident and bike commuter, Jared Liu, will be on-hand to demonstrate some simple repairs and empower you to work on your own bike throughout the season. The class will focus on whatever is needed to get your bike going, and will likely include simple repairs for: wheels (tubes, tires, mounting, and spokes), drivetrain (chains, pedals, and gears), fit (seat and handlebar positioning), and cables (brakes and shifting).

Drop-in anytime on a first-come, first-serve basis during this two-hour session. Weather permitting, we will meet outside on the sidewalk by the rear entrance. There will be a follow-up session two weeks later for any parts that need to be ordered. Labor is free, but parts will be at cost.
